“A new wine in the ever-expanding, always exciting Italian range from SBSW. This is excellent. The variety has the most brilliant purple hue so it entices at first pour, followed by swooning aromas of florals, pepper, cardamon and some licorice, with warm earth and fresh herbs. There’s a lot going on in this wine. Fuller bodied, rich and ripe without being too much of a good thing, and then the tannins kick in, coating and gripping the palate. It feels good with refreshing, light acidity and pops of sweet fruit.
