“What’s pleasing about this blend? It’s savoury, tangy and juicy with an Italianate feel overall. It’s not fruit driven, although pops of cherries and plums are in the mix. It’s more blood orange and chinotto, twiggy and sappy with sinewy tannins and perky acidity. It’s a food wine, in the true sense, as this comes into its own with rich, hearty fare.
